Tick off the Nationalmanschaft checkbox and you will be able to add historical flags as usual (move them to the Wappen folder first). As far as I know, this should not affect anything, since this checkbox has only one purpose (to assign logos automatically for national teams).

The only problem is that any other flags you add will not have the shine effect that got added in the last DFS version (I think), unless the developers provide a Photoshop template.
