www.soccerbase.com has all lineups from season 1995/96 onwards, but they are far from reliable, from what I've heard.
For the early years (pre-1970), there are the AFS Annuals, ca. 20 GBP per season. Not a cheap investment and most of the data is not available elsewhere, meaning it's a hotbed of copyright traps if you decide to publish it online.
Post-1970, there are Rothmans Football Annuals, as well as a couple of other publications in the 1980s and early 1990s.
