Win 7, Intel Core2 Duo E4700 (2.60 GHz), 2 GB RAM;
1) 11 Min. 50 Sek.
2) 40 Sek.
3) 14 Sek.
4) 27 Sek. (for round 34)
I have first defragmented the DB using contig (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysin...97428.aspx), so that may be the cause of better results in tests 1 and 2 (which require much more disk access than tests 3 and 4).
I wonder what would the results be if using a flash (SSD) hard disk? They have much shorter read times in random access mode (which is usually the case when using databases), and fragmentation is not much of an issue.
