@Gippon: DFS was last updated in October 2012 after having had regular releases two or three times per year. The author then quite expressly stated that there will be no more updates, unless a critical problem arises, such as failure to run under a future version of Windows. So I don't think your concerns will be addressed, especially since doing what you suggest would require rewriting the main display code which was virtually unchanged since the earliest releases.
